JA Program Registration

Please have the following information available for each class you are registering before completing this form:

  • Each Class Teacher Name
  • Each Class Teacher Email
  • Number of students in each class

Be sure to select the program recommended for the class grade level and take care when completing this form. Accurate and complete information will enable us to make the appropriate arrangements for all JA programs.

NOTE: JA can only offer one program per class per school year. For schools with split classes, we recommend alternating JA programs year over year. (ex. Grade 7/8 split classes would complete the Gr 7 Dollars with Sense program one year and the Gr 8 Economics for Success program the following year. In this way, over two years students should have the opportunity to complete both programs.)

The earlier students learn how to manage money, the greater their chances of lifelong financial success. JA has designed the More than Money program to address this challenge. With the assistance of volunteers from the local business community, the program teaches elementary students about earning, spending, sharing and saving money.

Teachers lead students through the lessons at their own class pace. Optional virtual volunteer drop in can be arranged. Includes printed Facilitators' Guide, Student Portfolios, games and activity resources along with digital content.

The Virtual version of the program is optimized for virtual deliveries through a web platform such as Microsoft Teams. JA provides the teacher with access to online instructions alongside activities structured to be completed by a group online. There are no printed activities or resources required; if desired a digital Student Portfolio can be downloaded and shared with students via email.

Teachers assign the program for students to complete independently. JA will provide you with generic student accounts and the ability to monitor your students progress. Once they have completed the program, students will be able to download a digital certificate.

Students are often taught that success means "getting a good job" after graduation. Many are not aware that launching a business is a viable career option that can bring them amazing opportunities. In JA's Our Business World program, students explore how businesses are created and what makes them thrive.
