Grade 7/8 split classes would complete the Gr 7 Dollars with Sense program one year and the Gr 8 Economics for Success program the following year. Over several years all students would have the opportunity to complete both JA programs.

Did you know that the earlier you learn how to manage money, the greater your chances are of lifelong financial success? According to one study, only 26% of 13-21-year-olds said their parents taught them how to manage money. JA has designed the More than Money program to address this challenge. In this program, grade 4 students will learn about earning, spending, sharing and saving money.

Entrepreneurs drive the Canadian economy, strengthen communities and create jobs. However, children are often not encouraged to become entrepreneurs. In JA’s newly updated A Business of My Own Online program, students will put on their entrepreneurial hat and run their own retail business. They'll learn how to start a business, produce and promote their products, track their finances and manage a team. Teachers may opt to have their class run a virtual business via the Business of Our Own online game.
